So, how much will it cost?

An average DHW solar system, depending on level of products and requirements, can be installed for between £2000 and £5000. With grants available and a saving of between 50% and 60% on your DHW, it makes economical and environmental sense.

"New research from the Energy Saving Trust has found that nearly 70% of Brits believe that energy efficiency is important when buying a home. Almost half (45%) are willing to pay up to £10,000 more for an environmentally friendly home."                                      Source:  Rightmove Property.

So, do we need it?

The more we reduce emissions created by burning fossil fuels, the less tax we are subdued to, but the major expense of these fossil fuels is the toll they take on our environment. More and more people are seeing environmentally friendly energy as not just a benefit for the environment but also a benefit on their expenditure as a household.

It has been estimated that in the past 100 years, the earth's population has used upto 75% of the earth's fossil fuels - so how long will these fuels lasts? (let alone the cost of burning these fuels has on the environment.)

It is time we seriously thought about sustainable/renewable energy - it's not expensive, it's not a fad - it will be our only source of energy soon! - some experts estimate between 20 and 50 years.
